Losna Women's Sweater

The Losna is a warm, chunky knit pullover crafted from 100% lightweight wool. Its relaxed silhouette is paired with a distinctive zigzag pattern and a refined crew-neck insert, creating a sweater that feels both textured and balanced. Soft yet substantial, this wool sweater offers comfortable warmth and a balanced feel.

The sweater is knitted using different yarn compositions depending on the colorway:

• Birch Mel. and Coffee: Mix of dyed and undyed wool from South America.
• Mid Blue Mel. and Light Charcoal: 100% lightweight wool from South America (dyed).

Inspired by Fair Isle tradition and Dale of Norway’s round-knit heritage, Losna brings together graphic patterning and structured knit construction. The result is a relaxed pullover shaped by traditional craftsmanship and designed for everyday wear.

Birch Mel./Coffee colorway (M00):
Mix of Nature Undyed and Seagull: The colorway knitted in a mix of Nature Undyed and Seagull yarns, has different sections worked in each quality. The Nature Undyed portions use our undyed lightweight wool sourced from Uruguay, showcasing the natural color variations of the fiber, ranging from darker to brighter tones. These shades are carefully sorted and blended into mélanges, creating a limited palette of authentic, natural colors. With no dyeing process involved, the yarn remains 100% natural, eliminating the chemicals typically associated with dyeing and conserving both water and energy. The Seagull sections are knitted in our lightweight yarn made from South American crossbred sheep. This yarn, produced exclusively for Dale of Norway, is ideal for traditional medium-weight garments that call for a lighter and softer feel. (Both yarn qualities share a fiber diameter of 27 micron). Garments knitted with a mix of Nature Undyed and Seagull must be hand washed. 

Mid Blue Mel. Colorway (H00):
Seagull – lightweight wool: Our 100% lightweight yarn from South American crossbred sheep, produced exclusively for Dale of Norway, is ideal for traditional medium-weight garments that call for a lighter and softer feel. To make the yarn machine washable, it undergoes the innovative EXP treatment, which uses natural, non-toxic salts. (Fiber diameter: 27 micron). Garments knitted in Seagull only (colorway H00) can be machine washed on a wool cycle.

Rooted in Norwegian heritage, the Losna sweater echoes the earlier Sula sweater, offering the same comfortable silhouette with an updated design. 

Named after Losna, a quiet island in the Solund archipelago, the sweater carries the spirit of Norway’s western coast. Home to only a handful of residents, Losna awakens each summer, drawing visitors to its rugged shores and untouched landscapes.
