Inspired by the classic fisherman’s sweater, the Måløy hat is a cable knit hat made with 100% exclusive air-spun merino wool. The detailed cable knit highlights the hat. Air-spun merino wool provides for a chunky hand knit look with a super soft texture.

Husky is a super soft, thick, and yet remarkably light yarn.

Husky provides for light garments with a chunky, handknit look. This yarn is air-spun. Every fiber end is blown into a core in the center of the yarn. This makes the yarn more durable than traditional soft yarns. Then the wool is knitted loosely once, before it’s knitted into a soft and chunky sweater.

Naturally, our wool is mulesing-fee. Garments knitted with Husky needs to be hand washed. (Fiber diameter: 19.5 micron)

This merino wool hat is inspired by Irish Aran cable knit patterns. Ireland and Norway share a rich fishing tradition and heritage. Fittingly, Måløy is named after one of the main fishing ports in Norway. The city of Måløy is situated on the outer shore of Nordfjorden, one of three main fjords of west coast Norway.
